"Over here!," They shout, as the pounding in your ear skips more quickly every moment.
You stand, watching the fireworks display you forgot the money to go and see, albeit from quite far away.
It's a horrid day. The wind is howling, making the windchime sing furiously, the rain throwing itself against your ears almost as much as your heart.
You re-adjust your jacket. 'It's time', you think.
"Hey... I'm not sure if you're ready to hear this, but-"
The heartbeat in your ear doesn't stop, blood flowing to your cheeks and ears. Pushing this fateful sentence out your mouth seems to take a lifetime.
